The Boston Globe which spent recent weeks covering the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s ride, the battles at Lexington & Concord, and the beginnings of the American Revolution, today featured a story striped bass migration.

Personally, I don’t pay very close attention to the striper migration map as I find that striped bass are creatures of habit. I’ve seen a few people fishing around the harbor, but in my experience the fishing doesn’t get going for another 2 weeks. Water is too cold. Again, Cinco de Mayo is the magic date.

Nevertheless, the excitement is definitely building. Spread the alarm! The stripers will soon be in town!
